Amid the pandemic’s constraints back in 2020, a group of artists sought solace in Townsend, Tennessee, where they stumbled upon the Clemer’s Dulcimer shop leading them to the town’s rich folk music history and the majestic Appalachian mountains, they embarked on a journey of musical rediscovery. This exploration led to a profound shift in their practice, embracing acoustic instruments and delving into the creation of the albums; “Wayfaring Stranger”, “Townsend”, and “Country Music”. Sarah Viviana Valdez’s documentary, “Those Kinds of Things Happen in the Moment,” intimately captures this transformative experience. Against the backdrop of pandemic-induced solitude, the film celebrates their resilience and the serendipitous moments that fueled their collaborative artistry.
